About waterprices.ie

Waterprices.ie is the only website providing a fully comprehensive guide to the Irish water prices as well as a user friendly usage / cost calculator.

We aim to provide an accurate and easy to use water usage calculator. Easily calculate how much you will be paying daily, monthly and annually based on your daily usage.
Our calculator uses estimates based on an average consumption per appliance.
Charges are based on the volume of water supplied:

  • Water supplied: €2.44 per 1,000 Litres
  • Wastewater removed: €2.44 per 1,000 Litres
This brings it to a total of €4.88 per 1,000 Litres. Unless your water is contaminated, or you have a septic tank for your waste water, in which case it's only €2.44 per 1,000L.
  • Household water services allowance: 30,000 litres per household.
  • Children’s water services allowance: 21,000 litres per child under 18 in the household

We are simply a website informing people of the water charges and how much they could end up spending. We are not associated with the government in any form. Nor do we agree or disagree with the current water charges.
